Moodle user guides have recently been updated and provide step by step instructions for all of Moodles important functions.
Panopto is the universities Video Repository and currently the best place to upload your video content in week 1.
If you have existing recorded lectures you would like to share with your students, you can republish an Echo recording from a previous semester or year.
The recorder function in PowerPoint 2019 is one of the simplest ways to record video, slides, audio narration and pen mark ups without the need for additional editing. MAC users can also use the PowerPoint 2019 application through MoVE, Monash’s Online Virtual Environment. For more information about MoVe, click here.
In-class polling can be a great way of increasing student participation. Monash offers two enterprise in-class polling solutions.
You can produce engaging 'done in one' short videos incorporating presentations and to-camera delivery in a range of combinations in one of Monash’s many Microstudios. Lighting and camera settings are handled automatically, with all video saved directly to a thumb drive as a media file suitable for uploading and sharing.
Zoom may be an option for running tutorials or workshops online in week 1. Resources and recommendations will be released shortly. (Zoom is not recommended for academics who do not have experience with this software)
