Why can't I switch role or add some HTML elements to my HPEO Moodle site?
We have found that some standard Moodle functions have been blocked by the eSolutions security firewall.
As a result, you may receive the following error message when trying to perform one of the following tasks:
- Switch role
- Submitting HTML containing <iframe> tags (eg embedding a youtube video) or stylesheet links.
- Course backup
- Course restore
Through negotiations with eSolutions security team, we have been able to have these restrictions removed if you access HPEO Moodle:
- On the wired network at Monash in the Medicine precinct.
- On the Monash wireless network.
- On the VPN.
Outside the Monash network (eg. off campus, at home, at overseas conferences), you will need to use the Monash VPN to use those functions.
