Question - Why can't I import Grades over 100 marks?

Question:

My Exam is marked out of 150 and when i try to import the results to Moodles Gradebook I receive this error.

Please note - we have reported this to eSolutions and are awaiting a resolution (24 July 2019)

While we can enter grades directly into the Gradebook up to any value (ie: 140/150), when importing from a spreadsheet the Moodle Gradebook allows us to import Grades up to 100.

We understand this can be a time consuming process so we have identified a workaround.

Workaround

Adjust the maximum grade from 150 to 75 (or just half your maximum grade so it is less than 100)

In your CSV file, create a new column and halve your original grade

Go back to the Gradebook Import page and map the half grade to the Gradebook item.

Grades will appear like this.

Edit the exam column, choose 'Rescale existing grades' and update the maximum grade to 150.
