KNOWN ISSUE | Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor


Dear Moodle Administrators and Monash stakeholders,


While students attempt the quiz using Respondus Lockdown Browser and/or Respondus Monitor, the quiz is likely to freeze when:


  • one of the question types is an Essay question type and “Response Format” is set to HTML Editor AND



  • Editor preference for the user is set to TinyMCE or Default Editor





Workaround


Option 1:

  • For quizzes that requires Respondus Lockdown Browser or Monitor, academics to update “Response Format” in Essay Question type setting to “Plain text”


Option 2:

  • Students to change Editor Preference to “Atto HTML Editor” or “Plain Text Area” prior to attempting the quiz using Respondus Lockdown Browser or Respondus Monitor
