Marking Issue - assignment feedback entered for a particular student may be copied into the assignment feedback field for another student
We’ve become aware of an issue in Moodle with the assignment feedback comments plug-in where assignment feedback entered for a particular student may be copied into the assignment feedback field for another student.
We’ve been investigating this and it appears to occur under certain circumstances. This includes the MS Edge browser (ver 44.17 and below).
We have found only a few cases of this occurring thus far in the course of our investigation. However, we have not completed our review of this issue.
We have further investigations to complete before being confident that we fully understand the issue, under what circumstances it occurs and which units and students have been affected. We have found evidence of this occurring in the previous version of Moodle.
We will continue to work urgently on this and notify you of updates and as soon as we have a resolution.
How to proceed
1. If you see this happen, report it to servicedesk@monash.edu.
2. To avoid this, we recommend you:
a. use Chrome as your browser
b. don't use 'Save and show next' button. Instead use, 'Save changes' button and click next in the
top right corner
