Panopto in Moodle

Panopto is now live in Moodle 

What is Panopto?

Panopto is a video content management platform that fully integrates with Moodle to help manage all our video content.

Create, upload, store, live stream, search and share videos all via Moodle. It’s Monash’s new fully supported and secure ‘YouTube’ solution.

With Panopto you can:

• Insert quizzes

• Provide automatic captioning

• View analytics

• Encourage students to upload video assignments.

You can access the Panopto platform via monash.edu/panopto.

How do I use Panopto?

Panopto can be used directly from your Moodle site. To enable Panopto in your Moodle site you first need to add the Panopto Block. See here for instructions.

Once Panopto is enabled, the green Panopto Embed Tool icon can be used anywhere a Moodle editor function is made available, for example: labels, forums, assignment feedback, pages, books and many more. 

You can upload, record or insert videos directly into your units folder.
